Jenifer Hoffman of Newburyport, Massachusetts, founder and proprietor of emotional armor, is partnering with Emily Kuvin of nearby Newton to bring her motivational messages to inspired jewelry design.
Kuvin, a working mother of two who is trained as a journalist and as an attorney, engages her true passion in creating her innovative, yet classic necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Her pieces are unique, just like those who wear them. Kuvin’s pieces can stand alone, just as emotional armor’s messages empower those who wear them to be strong and be true to themselves.
“I can’t think of a better partner for Emily Kuvin Jewelry Design than emotional armor,” Kuvin says. “emotional armor’s mission and Jen’s desire to improve the world around her, person by person, are so thoughtful and heartening, that I am excited to contribute in any way I can.”
“I want my children to grow up in a world of thoughtfulness and kindness,” Kuvin continues. “I see it as our responsibility as adults to make things better in tangible, meaningful ways and to teach our children how to do the same. The innovative self confidence program for children that emotional armor is helping to launch and the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, which works to prevent family violence, are two shining examples of dedicated people working at the individual level to find the good in us all.”
The collaboration between Hoffman and Kuvin will incorporate Hoffman’s messages into special edition necklaces and bracelets of Hoffman’s and Kuvin’s design. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the children’s program and the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center.
The final designs and information about how to purchase them will be unveiled in spring 2007.
